Relissa Marie Hughes, age 41, of Batesville, AR passed away on June 19, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 3, 1980 in Jonesboro, AR to Daniel & Irma Carrigan.
Relissa was of Christian faith. She enjoyed arts and crafts, being outdoors, traveling, and meeting new people; but one of her favorite things to do was spend time with her daughter, family, and friends. Relissa was born in Jonesboro, AR, lived in Little Rock, AR, then she and her family settled in Cave City, AR where she graduated from Cave City High School in 1998.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Coy Vernon Blount, Zorah Marie Beel Duncan, Marvin Berles Carrigan, Ethel Lena Carrigan, and a niece Olivia Lawrence Otwell.
Relissa leaves behind her beloved daughter, Alexia Marie Hughes of Batesville, AR along with her parents Daniel & Irma Carrigan, her sisters Leah (Kurt) Preston, Lori Carrigan, Rebecca (Jose) Varela, her nieces and nephews, Michael Otwell, Carson Robertson, Ellerie Varela, and a dear friend Shane Robbins.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
