Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Clara Anastasia Ventrano, age 87

Clara Anastasia Ventrano

On August 9, 2021, Clara Ventrano completed her earthly journey, following a long illness. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Clara was born in Manhattan, New York to Raymond Bernard Crawford and Clara Florence Bannas.

Clara was known for her sweet, loving, and kind heart. She was most grateful to be a stay-at-home mother to care for her six children. She raised her children with love and devotion in Islip Terrace, New York, with her husband, Victor, whom she was married to for sixty-six years. She was a devoted wife, always making sure there was a hot meal on the table when her husband came home from work and making time to be present.

She and her husband Victor (d.11-24-20), had a deep devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary and would pray together daily until illness may it impossible. Clara was a Roman Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Church.  She spent many hours making beautiful rosaries for family and all who requested them. For many years, she was a member of the flower guild.  She loved her church community.

Clara is survived by five children. Susan Ventrano, Linda Williams (Jim), Victor Ventrano (Lisa), Patricia Giles, Kathleen Backers (Niels).  She cherished being a grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She has one surviving sister, Rita Willmott.

Rosary will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock on Saturday, August 28th, at 1:30pm. Mass will be at 2:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Clara’s name can be made to Immaculate Conception Church, NLR, AR.

The family would like to thank all those who supported us during these difficult months with your prayers, calls, and messages. Words cannot express how much this has meant to us.
