Tommy Keith Zimmerman, age 70

Tommy Keith Zimmerman, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was born on December 24, 1950 in Stuttgart, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alva Sr. and Lillian Zimmerman; brother Alva Zimmerman Jr.; Patricia Harington; and Lillian Dinwiddie.

Tommy is survived by his children Christy Zurga, Alva Zimmerman III, and Tommy Zimmerman Jr; grandchildren Myson McFall, Gwyneth Zimmerman, and Josh Zurga; siblings Leland Zimmerman, Walter Zimmerman, Cathy Brown, and Victor Zimmerman; and a host of family and friends.

Tommy was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He loved watching westerns, fishing, watching NASCAR and Razorback Football. Tommy also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Tommy was rewarded the medal for the Defense of Freedom award for heroism and selfless service beyond the call of duty in Iraq by the Secretary of Defense.

Visitation will be held at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, AR 72076, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Graveside service will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120, on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 12:00 PM.
