Anneliese Magdalena Carper, age 91, of Sherwood, passed away September 24, 2021. She was born September 26, 1929 in Gissen, Germany to Osker Weissmann and Maria Kreussel.
Anneliese was a German WWII bride. She married Corporal Roland Carper and came to the U.S. in 1947, learned English and became a US citizen in 1953. She raised three boys and worked as the Head Cook at Normandy High School in St. Louis, MO. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed.
Anneliese is finally reunited in death with her beloved husband Roland; her parents; sister Helga Panz; and brother Guenter Weissmann.
Anneliese leaves behind her children Edward Carper (Nancy), James Carper (Karen), and Thomas Carper (Theresa); grandchildren Chris Carper, Phillip Carper, Sam Carper, Jake Carper, Josh Carper, and Loren Carper; great-grandchildren Kenneth Carper, Kate Carper, Kyle Carper and Savannah Carper; sister Lori Hinson; brother Jurgen Weissmann; and many other extended family and friends to carry on and cherish her memory.
Anneliese’s Visitation will be Friday, October 1 from 4:00- 6:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service, in Jacksonville. Private Inurnment is set at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
