Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Pamela Edwards Jones, age 67

Pamela Edwards Jones was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver. She peacefully entered into the arms of our Savior on September 7, 2021 at the age of 67. She was born in Hot Springs, AR on July 10, 1954 to Joe Cecil and Katie Gertrude Edwards. She graduated from high school at Lake Hamilton in 1972. In 1978, she married the love of her life, Steven W. Jones.

As a young adult, Pam worked as a book keeper at Allen Tillery Chevrolet. Later on, she became a nurse’s assistant and enjoyed a long career caring for the senior citizens of Garland County. Pam had a special gift in connecting with her elderly patients. She treated them with kindness and dignity, oftentimes befriending them.  Her kind encouragement was blessing to her patients.

Pam was a gifted pianist, and she served the Lord for many years playing the piano or organ for her church. She also served as a Sunday School teacher and a Girl Scout troop leader for her daughter. She enjoyed blessing others with her gifts as a seamstress and crochetier. Her two grandchildren were the delight of her heart, and she treasured getting to spend time with them.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Steven W. Jones; her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Stephanie and Mr. James Thomas, and her grandchildren Samuel Stephen Thomas and Evangeline Katie Thomas. She is also survived by her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher and Patricia Moppin and their sons Nicholas and Jacob Moppin.  She is reunited in heaven with her infant son, Jeffery Allen Worthey, her parents, her sister, Norine Moppin, and her grandparents.

Pam’s burial service will be held at 2:00 PM on September 18, 2021 at Memorial Gardens located at 525 Airport Rd, Hot Springs National Park, AR 71913. Visitation will be held 1-hour prior at the cemetery.
