Douglas Edward Myers, 77

Douglas Edward Myers, 77, passed away on October 28, 2021. He was born January 20, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Algernon Myers and Rita Janeke-Myers.

Douglas proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years. He completed three tours in Southeast Asia: one in Vietnam and two in Thailand. Douglas’s first love was his wife and second was fishing. He was a very proud family man. Douglas enjoyed gardening and could grow anything. He faithfully attended Kellogg Valley Baptist Church.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents Algernon and Rita Myers; and sister Linda Burns.

Douglas leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years Donna Myers; daughter Amy Yagel (David); grandchild Matt Yagel (Kayla); sister Judy Block of Roseville, Michigan; and many more extended family and friends.

Douglas’s visitation will be Monday, November 8, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00am at A Natural State Funeral Service. Burial will follow at 1:00pm at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
