Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Lisa Jones Vail, age 59

Lisa Jones Vail, age 59, of Cabot closed her eyes for the last time in this life and opened her eyes in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Gary; Mother Valinda Jones; Sister Carrie Jones (Marty), her Fur baby- MAX, Bonus Sister Gina Myers-Gunderman, Numerous uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and her extended family on Epperson Drive.

Lisa is preceded in Death by her Father Jimmy Jones, Grandparents, John & Inez Whittle, Eula Ingram and Clarence Jones.

Lisa was a 1980 Graduate of Cabot High School. She worked for many years in the administration side of the dental field until her health prevented her from continuing to work, she then spent her days caring for her mother. Lisa loved to spend time traveling and camping with Gary. Lisa was always a force to be reckoned with, she lit up a room when she entered it. She was quick witted and had an infectious laugh. Lisa was always willing to show up and help when you needed her. If you knew Lisa well-you knew it was always her way. Before you knew it, she had you doing exactly what she wanted… A born leader you might say! She had several unique talents like coming up with her own words to songs and swearing she was right, getting her fingers stuck in small spaces (it’s a wonder she still has all of them) and the ability to turn a short 2-hour trip into a 5-hour drive.

Lisa would want us all to remember her with laughter not tears, she always made those around her laugh and in this world, we need more laughter. Her life was worthwhile, she had made many, many people smile over the years and has touched many lives.

Lisa’s legacy of kindness, compassion, love and laughter will live on through those who were apart of her life. Gary, Carrie and Valinda request that instead of sending food or flowers, that you be a blessing to someone who is struggling. Be the light in someone’s darkness as Lisa was to many and help those whose calling is to help others. Memorials can be made in Lisa’s honor to your local Food Bank or Humane Society.

Services are under the trusted direction of A Natural State Funeral Service and will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 21, 2021 with a gathering of friends and family beginning at 3 PM and a Celebration of Life Service at 4 PM.

Lisa’s online guestbook is available at at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com

Lisa was such a force of nature. Her light may be dimmed here on earth, but now shines forever brightly in the heavens.

You were like a sister to me out there on “Turkey Farm Road”. I loved you then and I will always love you. I am so sorry that we have lost daily touch as we got older. Gosh… you got me into so much stuff… and I loved every minute of it! I still have a tape that YOU made up words ( and that it the truth)! I love your laughter and I LOVED making coffee for Jimmy Jones when we were kids! If you see my momma in Heaven… hug her for me and tell her how much I miss her… and you… EVERY DAY!

Well cousin, hold on, I’ve got to push the tears back so I can write. What have you done now? There is a hole in my heart now missing you. You have been in my life for 59 years and all good years. It’s gonna be hard to keep going without you here. We never did make it to the casino like we wanted to. Your mom and my mom were like sisters and we were like brother and sister, with Carrie right there. That time you went to see my dad in the hospital, he said you were so funny, and it made his day..you don’t know how bad your gonna be missed. Well I better shut up now and leave some room for someone else can write about you! Love you cousin.

Well shoot Lisa Beth, This is the 4th time I have tried to write something, the first time had a curse word in it, and It never got posted..The other 3 ones were too long, so I’ll just say the ob. about you really says it all. So I hope you will rest in peace in Heaven. I guess God needed you up there to cheer up some of his people there! You can play the piano for all the old codgers up there.. Like Deb said, tell everyone hi for me and I’ll see you in about 20, unless I get there sooner. I love you cousin!!

When we went on our many dental business trips, Lisa and I were placed together since we both snored. I’m sure she was the loudest but it didn’t bother me. She was “loud” in everything she did. I love you Lisa and will forever remember your stories. You were the “Life of the party”!!!! Prayers for family and friends. God Bless!!
