Chris Wayne Bakalekos, 64

Chris Wayne Bakalekos, 64, passed away October 31, 2021. He was born July 28, 1957 to Johnny and Ruby Bakalekos.

Chris loved being a Papaw to his grandson, Corbin. He was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid Razorback fan, and also enjoyed spending time on his motorcycle as well as being a part of the Patriot Guard Riders. Chris was a member of Runyan First Baptist Church along with Iron Horse Church in Little Rock.

He is preceded in death by his father John Bakalekos; his mother Ruby Bakalekos; and his cousin Angelo Bakalekos.

He is survived by his daughter Ashley Brewer (Phillip); his step-son Christopher Wittenburg (Monica); grandson Corbin Brewer; brothers John Bakalekos (Carolyn), and Robert Bakalekos; sisters Gail Williams, and Darla Hichborn; and many beloved friends and family.

A visitation will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. In honor of his love for the Razorbacks, feel free to wear your Razorback gear to his visitation.

    Chris, Scoop was a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of calling him friend. I thank God he put us in a path to meet. I pray for comfort and healing for the family as I know Scoop is in Heaven right now with his Lord and Savior.

    Praying for Chris’s family. It was always fun being able to have razorback talks with Chris when I came outside. Going to miss seeing him work on his bike and being a good neighbor. Rest in Love
