Rosie Nell Guffey Dixon, 73, passed away October 31, 2021. She was born in the Arkansas Delta and raised in Perryville, Arkansas by George and Flora Guffey.
She attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas, where she met the Love of her life- her husband Virgil Dixon, to whom she was married to for 52 years until his death.
She was retired from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, where she worked for over 30 years. The last few as the Manager over the Editorial Department Library. She loved her pets, reading mystery novels and a good debate.
She is survived by her daughter Louisa Diaz and her favorite Son in Law Gilberto; son Johnatan Dixon and his wife Lisa; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five grand puppies; and the neighborhood cats.
Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and inurned with her husband at the Arkansas Veteran’s Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas with no service held.
