Donald Dean Egbert, age 74

Donald Dean Egbert, 74, of Cabot passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born on February 21, 1947 in Edenburgh, Illinois to the late Harold Egbert and Lela West Egbert.

Donald is preceded in death by brothers Dale Egbert and David Egbert.

Donald served his country for two years during the Vietnam War. He loved his country and remained very patriotic all his life.

He was a wonderful husband, father and granddaddy.

He loved old cars and reading books out loud to his family and the one great grandchild he knew, Ella.

He was a member of the Bible Missionary Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Donald is survived by his wife of 52 years Cynthia (Cindy) Hennen Egbert; his son Don Egbert Jr with wife Kim Smith of Austin, Arkansas; three granddaughters Katie and husband Brent Spencer, their two children Ella Jo, and Brentley; Emilee and husband Cody Dowd, their daughter Kymber; and Molly Kaye Egbert; and two sisters Shirley Inman of Colchester, Illinois and Betty Floyd Butler of Macomb, Illinois.

The family would like to thank all of the CNAs and nurses at Arkansas State Veterans Home in North Little Rock.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30 at A Natural State Funeral Service from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10:00am at Bible Missionary Church, 3001 Military Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas with Brother Ben Lauritzen officiating with Military Honors to follow.
