Alan Lewis Boyd, age 78

Alan Lewis Boyd, 78, of Pangburn, Arkansas passed away December 30, 2021. He was born on November 13, 1943, in Wheatley, Arkansas to Huron and Eldora Boyd.

Alan was raised on a farm, and he grew up loving his family farm. He retired as a truck driver. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially carpentry, being outside, gardening, attending cookouts, and he was a great storyteller. Alan was a great family leader who loved his family dearly.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents Huron and Eldora, and his 2 brothers CE Boyd and Leslie Boyd.

Alan is survived by his children Shaun Boyd (Brittnie) and Shane Boyd (Kim); grandchildren Mikey Boyd, Layne Boyd (Cameron), Bailey Boyd; great grandson Wren Boyd; several nieces and nephews and host of extended family and friends.

A family hosted memorial celebration of life of Alan Boyd and visiting with the family and friends will be held at Powell Funeral Home on Beebe Capps in Searcy, Arkansas Wednesday January 5, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

    Alan Boyd was a lifetime friend. We grew up across the road from each other. He and my brother Lat Autry Jr. we’re best friends. Alan will be greatly missed by all his friends. My thoughts, prayers and love are with his sons and family.

    So sorry for the loss of Alan. He will be remembered for his wonderful personality, contagious laughter, and telling hilarious stories that would leave you in tears. He was also a very sensitive and loving man. I will always miss and love him. He was such a great friend to me. God give the family love, peace, and understanding. Alan is now with Jesus, his Mom and Dad, brothers and other friends and family. RIP MY FRIEND. I will never forget your ice chest!
