Our mother, our nurturer, our best friend Dolores Gay Wilson (Fields) of Cabot, Arkansas born January 2, 1943 left this world on January 24, 2022 to join our father Edward Wilson, the love of her life for 58 years.
Mom was born in Ulvah, Kentucky to the late Tom and Oddie Fields. She was preceded in death by her brother Arnold Fields of Illinois, her sister Nina Mae Smiley of Virginia, and her sister Joyce Caudill of Kentucky.
Our mother really enjoyed reading romance and mystery novels, shopping at local flea markets, taking long drives around our natural state soaking up beautiful scenery and baking delicious homemade sweets for us kids while singing Tom Jones latest hits around the kitchen.
Dolores was an Air Force wife for 26 years which required relocating every 3 years on average with four children. Mom took it all in stride. She was employed for many years at the Commissary on the LRAFB and Franklin Electric in Jacksonville.
Left to cherish our mother’s precious memories are her two daughters Kim (Warner) Thompson and Kathy (John) Sprowes; her two sons John (RaChelle) Wilson and Mike Wilson; numerous grands and great-grands as well as many cherished friends and extended family members.
Though our sweet mother wore invisible wings here on earth, they are now magnificent wings with no more pain, discomfort, or sorrow. Fly high mom… until memory fades and life departs, you will live forever in our hearts.
