John Thomas Billingsley, age 75

John Thomas Billingsley, 75, of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with his heavenly father on January 9, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones.

John was born November 22, 1946 to Naomi and Earnest Billingsley in Palestine, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patty Brewer.

John is survived by his bride of 54 years, Jackie Billingsley; four children Candy (Mark) Dickerson, Kevin (Andrea) Billingsley, Kristi (Curtis) Thornton, Carrie Billingsley; eight grandchildren Brittany (Chris) Presson, Lacy (Tim) Babson, Dakota Billingsley, Dylan (Skye) Billingsley, Blake Dickerson, Gage Thornton, Kendall Thornton, Cassidy Thornton; seven great-grandchildren Andrew Presson, Paisley Presson, Noah Babson, Parker Babson, Wyatt Babson, Eric Billingsley, Addie Billingsley; Siblings Michael (Kay) Billingsley, Nancy (Bill) Ballard, Peggy Ford, Sue Parsley, and Ernestine (J.L.) Betts.

He also loved his fur babies Izzie and Sadie, and his grandpups Coffee, Negan, Lucille, and Copper.

John loved to spend time in the woods hunting and was like a kid in a candy store when the crappie were biting. He loved all his family and enjoyed all the time he got to spend with them.

His faith in Christ was huge and it showed. He shared that with his entire family to the end.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 9:00am following with a celebration of life at 10:00am at A Natural State Funeral Service. 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.

    Uncle John was the best man and it showed in his family. There was a peace you felt when having conversations with him. May he Rest In Peace. Love you Uncle. My sympathies are with all of the family.

    I have known John for many years when he first signed Kevin up for baseball at Rose City. I drafted Kevin for my Teeny League team. John has always been a good friend. He will certainly be missed by his family and friends.

    I grew up spending a lot of time with the Billingsley family. Mr John was always so sweet. My thoughts and prayers are with me Jackie and Candy and the entire family! Love you all!!
