Phillip David Young Sr, age 68

Phillip David Young Sr, age 68, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born on December 16, 1953 to the late Dorothy Etheridge-Young and Virgil Young Sr.

Phillip worked for the family business and catered many gathering across the state of Arkansas for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being on the lake. He also loved spending his time with friends and family.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Virgil Young Sr; grandparents Bessie and Pious David Young; and grandparents Florence and Willy Etheridge.

Phillip was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Phillip is survived by his children Brandy (James) Wood and Phillip Young II; grandchildren Grayson Wood and Addie Kate Wood; brothers Virgil (Cathy) Young and Carey Young; sisters Brenda Malone and Linda (Douglas) Claybrook; nephews Kevin Claybrook, Paul Young, Sean Malone, Adam (Mary) Young; nieces Kara Claybrook and Sophia Young; great-nephews Kolton Claybrook and Henry Young; and great-nieces Kelsey Claybrook and Amelia Young.

    Phillip was a great friend , he was one if you didn’t see him for a year he was still there. We had a lot of good times together when i was with the milk coop. We did fish fries ever spring and fall and when Phillip wasn’t busy he would go with us. .It was a lot of work but we had fun doing it.

    It’s the wiggle that counts…..such a great guy, I’ve known Phil for years and knew he wasn’t well but just found out, you will be missed big guy…. Hopefully he is singing to JESUS today!!!!! Love ya Phil!!!
