Rex Allen Jarrett, 72, of Jacksonville Arkansas, died on January 28th, 2022. Rex was born on March 21, 1949 in Vandalia, Illinois to Charles and Doris Jarrett.
Rex was a hard worker, he was an Over the Road Truck Driver, worked in the oil fields, worked at Cook Jeep Eagle and then opened his own business Rex’s 4×4 Services before he retired in 1999. He loved to go Jeep riding with his friends and family, and was a beloved trailer leader with the Jeep Jamboree USA in Hot Springs Arkansas.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Gaylan Jarrett and Ray Jarrett, sister Sandra Pickett and nephew Vance Pickett. He is survived by sister Phyllis Phoman, sister-in-law Jody Jarrett, nieces; Gina (Paul) Hudkins, Connie Pasley, Amanda Jarrett, Paula Wood; nephews; Shannon Jarrett, Tim Heath (Kathy Swafford-Heath), Todd Heath and JD Heath, great niece Mallory (Dylan) Hudkins, Tylie Swafford-Heath, Cassandra Wood, Cheylenne Haxton Jarrett, Denver Jarrett; great nephew John Hudkins, Philip Wood, Gauge Jarrett, great-great niece Everlee Penix and cousins: Carolyn McDowell, Judy Dothager and Gary Crane.
Private memorial services will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Rex’s sister Sandra, who died of breast cancer.
