Doris Walker, 77, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed way on Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born in Witchita, Kansas to Harmon and Juanita Morris Lackey.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband Roger L. Walker; parents Harmon R. Lackey and Juanita Morris Lackey; brother James Lackey; sister Linda Alexander; and a special companion J.W. Harris.
Doris was a loving, caring wife, mom, Memal, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her family and The Lord. Mom was employed at Maybelline for 28 years. She enjoyed helping others and was a true friend. She enjoyed gatherings and cooking for everyone. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved playing card games. She also had a love for dachshunds.
Doris is survived by her daughter Terri (Rudy) Kurz; son Billy (Sally) Walker; bonus children Shane (Kim) Harris, Shawn (Beverly) Harris, and Jenny (Brad) Rollins, all of Lonoke, Arkansas; grandchildren Katie(Levi) Jones, Dylan Walker, Danielle (Cole) Dickson, Briana (T’Ray) Rutledge, Gavin Walker, Abby Kurz, Will Reed, MaryBeth Walker; bonus grandkids Austin Harris, Cody Horton, Dalton Harris, Montanna Horton, and Josh Harris; great-grands Aurie Walker, Olen Rutledge, Hunter Walker, Dawson Walker, and Emmalynn Walker; brother David (Velma) Lackey of North Little Rock, Arkansas; sister-in-law Linda Walker of Benton, Arkansas; sister-in-law Darlen Lackey of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and special friend Pam Bettis of Lonoke, Arkansas; and a host of friends and extended family members.
The family would like to thank the team at Hospice Home Care, Nurse Erica, Nurse Patty, Aid Christy, the techs and nurses at 2A Baptist Springhill, and Special Tech Jim.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service. Service will follow on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10:00am at A Natural State Funeral Service; 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. Interment to follow at Harmony Cemetery.

I have many fond memories of when y’all were our neighbors. We had some really good times. I loved Doris and will miss reading about y’all’s adventures!
