Jack Pickel, age 83

Jack Pickel, age 83, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly, Friday February 4, 2022.

He was born Jackie Dale Pickel on August 28, 1938, in Clay County IL. to parents Floyd and Goldie Pickel.

Jack served in the United States Navy.

Jack married Nancy Dubiel on February 24, 1964. They had one son, Randall Eugene Pickel. He has three children from a previous marriage.

Jack retired from Caterpillar Tractor; Aurora, IL in 1998. He worked in the heat treat and assembly departments.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pickel; son Randall Pickel, daughters Debra Duckworth, Tina Fender; sisters Barbara Greear, Joyce Buhrmann, Trudy Stumborg, Linda Kuhlman; grandchildren Travis Jewell, Shannon Lewis, Ryan French, Bree Anna Hall, and Nicolas Pickel. He has nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents; Lloyd and Effie Pickel paternal grandparents; Clarence and Rosella Pickel; brother Robert Pickel; sisters Louise Schafroth, Phyllis Butts; son John Pickel; two great grandsons.

Jack was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, fishing, playing horseshoes, sports especially the Chicago Cubs and Arkansas Razorbacks and spending time with family and friends.

A private family Memorial will follow later.
