Sherry Ranay Whitlow, age 81

Sherry Ranay Whitlow, 81, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. She was born in Payson, Utah on July 8, 1940 to the late Vondell Painter and Louise Kelley. She married the love of her life, Billy Bob Whitlow, on December 14, 1957.  They were married for all eternity on June 30, 2001.

Sherry is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Marilyn Woods; and son-in-law Walter Lahtuk.

Sherry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she enjoyed playing the piano/organ.  Besides playing the piano/organ, she played the accordion, and while in school, she played the drums. She enjoyed playing games on her iPad, with bowling being her favorite. She dearly loved her family, especially all her grandchildren, and friends.  Sherry never met a stranger and made friends easily.  She treasured spending time with family and friends.

Sherry leaves behind her children Billy Bob (Rose) Whitlow JR, Connie Jean Whitlow-Lahtuk, and Peggy Sue (James) Whitlow-Stagner; grandchildren Teresa (Paul) Finch, Lisa (Matt) Charlton, Billy Whitlow III, Aaron Whitlow, Timothy (Lauren) Whitlow, Hope Lahtuk, Heidi Lahtuk, and Amanda (Cliff) Roberts; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Barbara (Phillip) Rausch; sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Jones, Carolyn (Harold) Willett, Lynetta (Tom) Norwood, and Rena (George) Jones; and a host of friends and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 19, 2022 at 10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Hope Cemetery in Imboden, Arkansas.

    Mom you have had a long good life. Praise Jesus!!! Absent from the body present with the Lord. Hallelujah! No more pain or sickness. How awesome eternity with God the Father Jesus our savior and the Holy Spirit. Love You Mom Can’t wait to see you in eternity.
