Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Judith Ann Tomlin, age 76

Judith Ann Tomlin, 76, of Jacksonville, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 27, 2022. Born Feb. 7, 1946, in Little Rock, Judi—as she was known to family and friends—was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, a superb cook, and gifted piano player and singer.

Judi lived her faith in Christ. She found solace in God’s word daily, just as her father had, and she had keen spiritual insight. She never wanted any job outside of being a mother at home, guiding and providing for her children. She adored her grandchildren and great grandson. She was among the kindest people known to both family and friends.

Judi is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry H. Tomlin, of Jacksonville; children Grant Tomlin (wife Cathryn) of Conway, Gregory Tomlin (wife Cynthia) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Leslie Crider of Cabot; eight grandchildren (Britny, Sawyer, Libby, Caroline, Leah, Luke, Elijah and Elizabeth), and a great grandson (Amzi). She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dale Huffman of North Little Rock.

Judi will be dearly missed by her family. Her final hours were spent with her husband and children, who—if not for her prayers, care, and love—would be lost. Each takes comfort in knowing death is not the end, and she is present with Christ.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 9 a.m. at A Natural State Funeral Home at 2620 W. Main St. in Jacksonville on Friday, March 4. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Bluff Springs Cemetery in Rosston, Ark., at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Arkansas Chapter).

Arrangements entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service. 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400.

Dear Loved Ones, special thoughts and prayers of love for your loss and sadness in Judi’s passing into Heaven. Your memorial tribute of Judi’s life and legacy was very beautiful and so moving. It brought back deep heartfelt memories of younger days spent with our Family. Family Reunions, eating Funnel Cakes with Daddy/Rudy and competing for who could eat the most! He always won! Ha! So much fun! It is an honor to have had such a wonderful Cousin in Judi. May your precious loving memories of Judi comfort you and help sustain you during this time knowing she is with her Heavenly Father. Judi’s great love and shining spirit lives within each of you and will always be in your hearts. As you celebrate Judi’s beautiful life, know that I am wrapping my arms around each of you along with the soft Wings of the Angels in Heaven. My Deepest Sympathy and God’s Blessings, Warm Regards and Love Always, Penny (Kendrick) Schellenberg, (Rudy Kendrick’s oldest Daughter). XO
