Louise Dunn Burrell-Flynn, age 71, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. She was born to the late Alexander McNair Burrell and Helen Louise Vaughn Burrell on April 21, 1950 in Akron, Ohio.
Louise, or “Beezie” to her family and friends, grew up in Clayton, Missouri and attended The Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Louis before graduating in 1969 from Horton Watkins High School in Ladue, Missouri. She spent her early adult years as a fashion model in St. Louis and New York City. She then enjoyed a decades long career as a Histotechnologist, first for Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and later for the Washington University School of Medicine Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. After retiring, she relocated to Cabot to be near her son and his family. She loved her Shih Tzu’s from Flint to Clayton, they were the joys of her life. She enjoyed water aerobics and working out at the Cabot Community Center. She was a Christian and attended Grace Fellowship in Cabot.
She is survived by her son John Flynn and his wife Sherry Flynn, of Cabot, three grandchildren; Alex Flynn, Ally Flynn and Kensley Flynn, two sisters; Bridget Burrell and Vaughn Wissner (Paul) of St. Louis Missouri, two nieces; Laura Wissner and Rachel Long and a nephew, Tyler Stevens as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ann Allyn Stevens and her life-long best friend Alice Hartle.
A Memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, March 28, 2022 with visitation being held one hour prior in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.
