Mary Caroline Day, beloved mother, wife and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, March 16, 2022. She was born May 26, 1955 to Gerald and Katherine Heck in San Diego, California.
Caroline was a 1973 graduate of Ole Main NLR High School and chose a career in transportation. Music was an important part of her life and Joni Mitchell, Harry Chapin and Steely Dan were among her favorites. Caroline was fun to be around and when she smiled her entire face lit up. When asked, she would name family as her true source of happiness. Her sons Andrew and Daniel made her life complete. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Caroline is predeceased by her husbands, Randy Day, Michael Ware and Mark Harris; father Gerald Heck; grandparents, D. J. and Ruth Nelson. She is survived by her loving sons, Andrew (Sam Van Houten) Harris and Daniel (Aaron Willis) Harris; mother, Mary Katherine Keough; sisters Sheryl (Chris) Compton, Theresa (Bob) Adams; Linda (Wade Boam) Heck; six nephews and a host of relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a thank you for the special care she received from Jan Honeycutt and the staff at Indian Rock Village.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 9:00am at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall; 4106 John F Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72116.

Caroline, I remember you from St. Luke’s and at NLRHS as an intelligent, caring girl who was always a joy in class. You helped give meaning to my life as a teacher, and I will always remember you with love. I know you’re with the angels. My prayers are with your family.

It is with great sadness to hear of Caroline’s passing. In my mind we are still neighbors in park hill. It is comforting to know you are at peace.
