Rita Jean Bishop, age 60

Rita Jean Bishop, 60, of Jacksonville passed away on March 4, 2022 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on June 19, 1961 to the late James Henry Bishop and Virginia Westerman-Bishop.

Rita attended church at the Church at Willow Beach Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing, watching daytime television and movies. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved her dog “Baby”. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Brenda Potts; her brothers Johnny Bishop and Edward Bishop; and her life partner Eric Doyle.

Rita leaves behind her daughter Teresa Garrett (Stephen); her grandchildren Katelyn Garrett, Sarah Henderson, and Stephen Henderson III; great grandchildren Devin, Aliza, and Braxton; siblings Joyce Wortham, Kathy McGraw, Barbara Roddenberry, Bert Bishop ( Debbie); step-siblings Debbie Jose, Darryl Cooper, Donnie Cooper, and Gail Cooper and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Friday March 11, 2022 at 1:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 2:00PM at A Natural State Funeral Service.
