Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Rosetta Louise Ramsey, age 80

Sherwood – Rosetta Louise Ramsey, age 80, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away on Good, Friday, April 15, 2022. She was born on July 21, 1941 to Herbert Richard and Florence Ruby Lumpkin.

She is survived by the love of her life, her doting and adoring husband of 57 years, Bobby Ray Ramsey, her son, Samuel Ray Ramsey (Kim Ramsey), her daughter Allison Ramsey Baker (Todd Baker), her grandchildren, Florence Stormi Pierce (Benson Pierce), Carly Ramsey, Brian Kristian Baker, Tristan Richard Baker, and her great grandchildren, Achilles Pierce, Apollo Pierce, Atlas Pierce, and Olivia Ramsey.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, North Little Rock for 77 years. She was a life-long follower of Christ, and her strong faith helped her through the last, most difficult months of her life as she so strongly and courageously handled her terminal diagnosis. She faithfully served her church in different capacities through the years serving as a member of the choir, Sunday School Secretary, volunteered with Missionettes, Church Secretary, and was involved with Women’s Ministries. She and her husband Bob made so many memories traveling on church-led trips with their friends.

She was a loving mother and her children are very grateful that she was a stay-at-home mom for many years and was active in all of their school and sports activities. She went to work for the City of Sherwood for 27 years where she worked her way up to Deputy Court Clerk and was the Directory of the Hot Check office in Sherwood serving all of Pulaski County. She grew that department to become one of the largest sources of revenue for the city.

Her grandchildren brought her so much joy. She helped raise her oldest granddaughter, Stormi, and she thought of her as a daughter. She loved attending her grandsons (Kristian and Tristan) soccer and basketball games and traveled as far as Denver, CO to watch them play. She will be missed by so many friends and family.

Visitation will be held at First Assembly of God Church, North Little Rock on Tuesday, April 19 at 1:00pm and a Memorial service immediately following at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to Arkansas Hospice, where she was lovingly cared for by so many people.

Arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.

Recently, I reconnected with Rosetta on one of our church trips. She was a neighbor and friend of my cousins and I hadn’t seen her since my early childhood years. She always had a beautiful smile for everyone. She was friendly, genuine, inspiring, loved the Lord, Bob, her family, church family and her.many friends. She will be missed. I pray God’s presence for her family and his peace that passes all understanding.
