Joseph “Joey” Bryan Cuneo, age 39, of Springdale AR was taken to be with the Lord on
May 6, 2022, after giving his own life to protect a friend from a violent crime. He
was born August 14, 1982 in Batesville, AR.
Joey leaves behind his 5 year old son, Joseph Layne Cuneo, his mother, Deborah K.
Leak, his brother, David A. Cuneo, his grandmother, Rose I. Leak, special friends
and a host of other family members.
His most precious joy in his life was spending time with his son. They loved playing
at the park, riding his bicycle, and building things with his Legos. Joey had so much
love for his son, his family and friends, and was known for his kindness and
generosity to everyone.
Joey was an avid baseball player while attending elementary school, loved fishing,
swimming, and creative painting.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
