Lloyd J. Hamby, age 77, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday Apr 29, 2022. Lloyd was born on July 28, 1944 to the late Edith Lilly and Floyd Hamby in Plumerville, Ar.
Lloyd is preceded in death by a special aunt and uncle, Ocylene and Doil Hamby, grandparents, Othar and Etta Davis Burroughs, mother-in-law, Edith Crane, father-in-law, James Crane, nephew, Jamie Crane and niece, Amanda Crane.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife of 47 years, OraSu (Sara) Hamby, brother Bobby Hamby (Audrey), brother-in-law Jim Crane and 3 sons, Chuck Hamby (Kelley), Rusty Hamby and Brice Nosal (Stoney): five grandchildren Edie and Matthew Hamby, Tyler Hamby, and Chloe and Molly Nosal, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lloyd grew up and lived his life in the Landmark community graduating from Fuller High School in 1963. He received a football scholarship to play for the University of Arkansas 1963-1965. Lloyd worked for the Jacksonville Air Base for over 30 years retiring as the Supervisor of the Maintenance Department.
Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping or working on any project in his shop. Lloyd’s greatest love was his family, camping with Sara and Edie, or hunting and fishing with Chuck, Rusty, Tyler and Matthew. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
