Bessie Lou Owens, 82, of Austin, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 15, 2022. She was born November 9, 1939 in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas.

Lou is preceded in death by her parents, James Glen and Gertie McDougal, Husband Jessie Lee Owens, 4 Brothers, Paul McDougal, Enoch McDougal, Richard McDougal and Harold McDougal, 3 Sisters Ann Shane Mary Etta Hodshire, Sara Gilbert, son in law Jimmy Theroux, and 1 Great Grandson Peyton Owens.

Lou leaves behind her children, Tim Owens (Mary), Nancy Theroux, and Jeff Owens (Brandy).

10 Grandchildren, Becky Fowler (Scott), Tony Owens (Brandie), Pam Fitch (JC) Randy Owens (Jessica), Jaymee Sykes (Arron), Brittany Owens (Kalan), Kayla Owens (Colby), Matt Owens (Bobbie Joe), Zack Howard (Heather), and Bradley Howard.

20 Great Grandchildren, Leslie Gill (Bryce) Hallie Moore (Troy) Andrea Fitch, Madison Cross (Josh), Hunter Fowler, Dallas Owens, Braden Owens, Gabe Owens, Trent Sykes, Tommy Fitch, Brantley Owens, Emma Owens, Divinity Sykes, Trinity Sykes, Bo Owens, Gunner Owens, Nolan Owens, Draco Bell, Jaxon Howard, Zayden Howard, Deacon Owens, and Waylon Owens.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 at 6:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service; 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:00am at New Testament Baptist Church; 1601 Lincoln Street, Lonoke, Arkansas, 72086. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas.
