Billy Ray Ashley, age 64, of Grapevine, Arkansas, passed away on June 26, 2022. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on September 18, 1957, to Willie Ashley.
Billy worked with the union to help other workers. He was a truck driver for Pat Salmon for 25 years. He loved keeping his yard mowed and beautiful. Billy was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and teaching them new things. He also loved dancing with his life partner, Barbara. Billy was truthful, honest, and strong-willed.
Billy is preceded in death by his father Willie Ashley; and son Billy Ashley Jr.
Billy leaves behind his children Amanda Ashley and Dawn Page (Eric); grandchildren Shilah Sugg (Blaine), Emrie Ashley, Sasha Clawson (Andrea), and Robert Page; great-granddaughters Hensley Page and Kennedy Page; great-grandsons Trinton Clawson and Anderson Smalley; life-long partner of 20 years Barbara Thompson; step-mom Sally Ann Ashley; brother Charles Lee Ashley; and sister Mary Thompson.
The Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service following at 11:00 A.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. Burial will follow at Upchurch Cemetery in Mabelvale, Arkansas.
