Donna Faye Mathys, age 73, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on July 6, 2022. She was born on December 31, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Carl Cecil and Sylvia Marie Voegele.
Donna loved going on cruises, traveling, and reading. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents Carl Cecil and Sylvia Marie Voegele.
Donna is survived by her husband Charles Mathys; her children Brandi Payne (John) and Donnie Hutchinson (Crystal); her grandchildren Taylor Mackenzie Mize, Georgia Madison Shellnut (Scotty), Matthew Benton Mize, Courtney Jones (Larry), Hunter Payne (Skyla), Savannah Hartwick, Emerie Hutchinson, and Bentley Cruz Hutchinson; her greatgrandchildren Lawson Wayne Shellnut, Brooklyn Jones, Parklynn Payne, and Georgia Kate Shellnut on the way; and her sister Rona Mantooth (Earl).
A family gathering will be held at noon on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Lifeline Baptist Church; 7601 Baseline Road, Little Rock, Arkansas. Followed by a memorial service at 12:30 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service.

I worked with Donna many years at Kroger. Always a pleasure to be around. She loved her family. My sincere condolences.
Donna and I where more like sisters than cousins, she lived behind our house and we went to the same school, Donna was a very bright and talented in school, even thought we grew apart as we got older we still stayed in touch. I will really miss her and our talks we had on the phone.
