Alice Marie Rosamond, age 62

We are sad to announce that Alice Marie Rosamond (62) of North Little Rock Arkansas, passed away on the afternoon of September 1, 2022 due to complications from a stroke.

She is very much loved, and will be missed by her friends and family.  Alice was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 21, 1960. She was the daughter of an air force chief, in which charted her early life all over the globe to many places from Japan to Alaska just to name a few.  This instilled in her a love for learning about new things and new places that continued throughout her life. Alice graduated with a liberal arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1984. Following this, she had a career with the state department of motor vehicles until her retirement. Throughout the 1990’s, Alice was president of the Pulaski County Chapter of Democratic Women, and continued her interest in politics long after. She also loved going to church, and was a devoted congregant of Immanuel Baptist church for over 40 years.

In addition to this Alice enjoyed going to the theatre, listening to country music, fashion, history, trying new foods, watching Dallas Cowboys football, reading books of all kinds, celebrating holidays, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her father CMSgt William L. Rosamond, her mother Joy Meador Rosamond, her brother William N. Rosamond “Butch”, and her sisters Mary Lynn Rosamond, and Linda Sue Rosamond. She is survived by her great uncle Thomas J. Rosamond of Sherwood Arkansas, her niece Grace Wood-Rosamond of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and several first and second cousins.
