Randy L. Boyd, age 61, of Little Rock passed away on September 15, 2022.
He was born on September 6, 1961 in Paragould, Arkansas.
He was fortunate enough to grow up in the Beech Grove community and
graduated high school in 1979 from Green County Tech. He went on to
attend the University of Arkansas and graduated with an Animal
Science degree in 1986.
He worked for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for two years
before moving to Little Rock to pursue a long career in sales. His
working experience included veterinary medical supplies, Waste
Management Corporation and Baker Corp.
Randy suffered a major stroke in 2008 which paralyzed the left side of
his body and damaged his kidneys. This confined him to a wheelchair
and nursing facilities for the rest of his life.
He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and really enjoyed calling the
hogs and watching his team play. He had a strong heart and was a
fighter up until the very end. He attended St. James United Methodist
Church.
Randy was preceded in death by his loving parents, Carl and Helen
Boyd. He is survived by an older sister, Carla Ellington, and his niece,
Kersten (Nate) Herget and their children, Barrett and Blakely, all from
Paragould, Arkansas, plus longtime friends Pat and Charla Golding.
A private ceremony will be held in Paragould, Arkansas at a later date.
