James Travis Smith, age 65

James Travis Smith, 65, of Clinton, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born in Monticello, Arkansas on October 9, 1957 to Carroll Smith and Peggye Sanders.

Travis is preceded in death by his parents James Gober and Peggye Smith-Gober and sister Dana Smith Rao.

Travis drove a truck for 45 years. He enjoyed working on cars and CB’s and hanging out with his buddies at Beno’s in East Hazel Crest, Illinois. He was a good family man and provider. He was kind to everyone and everyone that knew him loved him dearly. He enjoyed taking his family to Ozment Bluff on the Saline River to spend time with the Gober family. He always enjoyed laughing and cutting up with his friends and family. Travis was a member of Teamsters 731.

Travis leaves behind his wife Sarah Smith; children Stephanie Lynn, Mary Elizabeth, Bailey Lynn and Coy Smith; grandchildren Kylie Ann Suchowski, Richard James DeMondo, and Anthony Joseph DeMondo; siblings Tommie Dell Smith, Rhonda Smith, and Jamie Gober; and many more friends and family too numerous to name.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00pm with Funeral Service to follow at 3:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service; 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
