Rosalie “Rosie” Elmore, age 82

Rosie Elmore, 82, died Saturday, October 15, 2022 at her Cabot home with family by her side. Rosie was born July 10, 1940, in Cabot, Arkansas, to Ennis and Dora Waymack. She has a sister Mary Ellen Waymack of Cabot (96), a brother Billy Waymack of Cabot (92) and her late sister Lillian Robertson. She attended Cabot High School.

Rosie married Harry Edward Jr. on October 19, 1956. Rosie traveled the United States and overseas with her late husband Harry throughout his Air Force career. They were blessed with four children: Beverly, Sherrie, Tracy, and Brian.

She worked several years at Remington Arms. Rosie was an avid sports fan and always attended her grandchildren’s sporting and band events. She enjoyed yardwork and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. In her last few years, Rosie was blessed with living and spending everyday alongside her two older siblings, Mary Ellen Waymack and Billy Waymack.

Rosie is survived by her children, Beverly (Michael) Jackson, Sherrie (Tim) McKenzie, Tracy (DeWayne) Morey, and Brian (Amanda) Elmore; nine grandchildren: Chandra, Devynn, Jessica, Jacqulyn, Jarrett, Ashley, Samantha, Kailey and Gracie Belle; nine great grandchildren: Alexis, Aspen, Izabella, Grayson, Emily, Margot, Liam, Brooks, and Lincoln; sister Mary Ellen and brother Billy.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Harry Elmore Jr. and sister, Lillian Robertson. Rosie will especially be remembered by her kind heart, sweet spirit and selflessness. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at 11:00 am, graveside at Sumner Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cabot Animal Shelter.
