Anester Aaron, age 73

Anester Aaron was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on the 22nd day of June 1949 to the late Frank and Julia Aaron.

Cookie, as she was affectionately known, professed Jesus Christ at an early age at Fairview CME Church in North Little Rock. She graduated from Viola A Harris High School in North Little Rock, AR on May 21st, 1967. On July 9th, 1970 she married Edward L Whitfield of Little Rock, AR and from that union came two amazing children. Ann also earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Guilford College in May of 2004. While in Greensboro, Ann became a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. Under Bishop George Brooks she flourished in her faith teaching Sunday School, Children’s Church, Youth Group and Women’s Ministries. In recent years, she faithfully served St Mark Community Church teaching the adult Sunday School class. She was passionate about seeing God’s people grow spiritually and walk in their Kingdom inheritance in every aspect of their lives.

Cherishing her memories, she leaves her daughter Nandi (Leslie) Canty of Atlanta, GA, son Mzilikazi (Genesis) Whitfield of Tampa, FL and bonus daughter Deirdre Allen of Austin, TX; four granddaughters Ellise Canty of Atlanta, GA, Kaih Whitfield of Greensboro, NC, Kailen Whitfield of Greensboro, NC and Jaya Canty of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Lonnie Aaron of Maumelle, AR, Rozell Aaron of Oakland, CA and Michael Aaron of Jonesboro, GA; 5 sisters, Mae Bernard of Little Rock, AR, Arthella Edwards of Phoenix, AZ, Florestine Perkins, Frankie Davis and Phyllis Thrist all of North Little Rock, AR and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
