Dorothy Jean Kirkland, age 73

Dorothy Jean Kirkland, age 73, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2022. She was born on October 21, 1948 in Waldo, AR to Jessie Mae Brothers and Charles Robinson Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Robert Bills, brother Woodrow Brothers Sr, and sister Gloria Robinson.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. One thing Dot always had to offer was her big beautiful smile. It could light up a room! She gave her all to her many years in the cooking industry and her talents transferred into her home, where she proudly cooked for her big family and as many gatherings as she could. She was always willing to help anyone whenever she could, However she could. She was a strong Christian and loved to serve in her churches through the years. She was easy to like, loved good conversation and laughter.

She leaves behind three daughters, Arstra, Sadé, and Antoinette; and a son, Julius, as well as 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy loved her family & her children so much. She has left them with many great memories and inspiration to be a help to others whenever you can, and most of all, to always pray and thank God for everything you have.

A family-hosted celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1:00pm at The Church of the Open Door; 700 South Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913.

    I will always hold Mrs Dorothy in high regards. She had the sweetest smile and biggest heart. I loved every minute of caring for her as her nurse. She always knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to say what she meant. Ibwill moss her dearly
