Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Laiken Sloan May, age 25

Laiken Sloan May, age 25, of El Paso, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2022.  She was born in Newport, Arkansas, on March 6, 1997, to Michael Estes and Amber Hunt Mayfield.

Laiken was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She loved her husband and their children fiercely.  Spending time with them was her greatest joy.  She loved vacations to the beach and weekends at the lake with her family and friends.  There was never a dull moment with Laiken around as she loved having fun and bringing happiness and laughter to everyone around her.  Also known as the Family Manager, she was never afraid to be honest and always spoke her mind.

Graduating Cabot High School in 2015, Laiken attended Arkansas State University Beebe following graduation.  Laiken married the love of her life, Zack, in 2018 and they welcomed their first child, Savvy Leigh, in 2017 followed by Kase Bryant in 2021.  She and Zack had just celebrated four lovely years of marriage on November 9.

Laiken began her real estate career at the age of 21.  She joined the Cabot Edge Realty Team and dedicated herself to her real estate family and her clients.  Her clients were always treasured relationships to her not just transactions.  She loved networking and volunteering in the community with Zack.  Laiken served as President of the Jacksonville Cabot Real Estate Commission and was just selected as Voter’s Choice Top 3 Producers for 2022.

Laiken is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Les and Shirley Williams, great-grandmother Helen Hunt and her dear friend Codi Leigh Rice.

Laiken is survived and deeply missed by her loving husband, Zachery May; daughter Savvy Leigh May and son Kase Bryant May; parents Billy and Amber Mayfield; father Michael (Becca) Estes; mother-in-law and father-in-law Alicia and Rodney May; grandmother Debbie Hunt; grandmother Regina Perryman; grandfather Gary (Socorro) Hunt; great-grandfather Glen Hunt; siblings Kassie (Byars) Halford, Darci Turbyfill, Byron Estes, Myka Estes, and Madeline Mayfield; sister-in-law Bailey May; her Edge Realty family and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at New Life Church in Cabot located at 3400 West Main Street, Cabot, Arkansas, 72023.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM followed by Funeral Service on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 12:00 PM.  Interment following at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe, Arkansas; 404 West Dewitt Henry Drive.

I didn’t know Laiken but had the pleasure of meeting her a few times when she sold my daughter and son-in-law their first home. She was a very impressive young lady. My heart goes out to and praying for her family.

The day I met you, you were hurting so bad because of the loss of your dear friends in car accident. You caught my eye right away because you looked so sad. We talked and prayed and over the next few years you blossomed into your beautiful self. You were truly beautiful inside and out. You loved so deeply. I will always remember the glow in your eyes and the smile on your beautiful face. Have fun up there in heaven with all your friends and family. We will be there soon and we can all celebrate together. Love you my friend!!!

    Billy/Amber,
A loss like this is unimaginable. You and your family have been in my prayers. Although, she will be missed forever by so many, it is my hope that you all can find comfort in knowing she is with the Lord, and you will be together again one day. I know she will always live on in all of you, especially, her children. I am here for anything you may need going forward during this difficult time.
