Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Samuel “Ted” Patterson, age 75

Samuel “Ted” Patterson departed this world on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy; daughters, Jennifer Patterson and Carmen Patterson (Brad); granddaughters, Jillian Patterson, Gloria Mae Patterson-Wood, and Sophie Wright; grandson Samuel Wright; sister, Susan Carson (Jim); many nieces and nephews; and his cherished dog Isabelle.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Rose Patterson, as well as his older brothers, Reverend Billy Bumpus, David Bumpus, Dr. Steve Patterson, and Jimmy Patterson.

Ted was born and raised in Memphis, TN, and was a graduate of the Treadwell High School class of 1965.  Although he grew up in the city, Ted was an avid outdoorsman and was delighted to follow his older brother Jimmy to Arkansas in 1975 where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing music, and making memories with his family and friends.  Ted was a colorful storyteller, an excellent barbecuer, a passionate sports fan, a generous helper, and a fierce protector of his family.

A celebration of his life will be held at All Souls Church, 4601 Walkers Corner Rd, Scott, AR 72142, on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 3:30 pm.
