Beryl Lawrence Downs Sr, age 74

Beryl Lawrence Downs Sr went to be with the lord on Friday December 2, 2022.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 51 years Connie E Downs; his mother Kathryn V Sweats-Downs and his Stepmother Mittie Toland Downs; Gary Atkinson and sister-in-law Tonya Martin. He’s survived by his Father Clifford Downs Sr; Brother Clifford Downs Jr; Sisters Kathy Enfinger (Steve) and Carmen Atkinson; Children Beryl Downs Jr (Teresa), Shonda Roberts (Wade), Blake Downs (Breana); “Grand children” Donnie Downs (Janelle), Tracie Downs, Kolby Gay (Lauren), Dacey Gay (Chris), Kelsey Roberts, River Downs; Great Grandchildren Kailey Kay, Bradly and Brantly Klare, Braden Kolby Jr, and Kameron Brodie; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Beryl was a loving friend, father, and brother. He was a truck driver for most of his life. He drove for Martin Transport, Lees Trucking, and a list of others through the years. He ran his own tow truck business for a few years. He enjoyed Having Him a Drink at his convenience. You normally never saw him without a cold Busch in his hand. Beryl was an avid card player, Blackjack preferably. Watching Razorback Football was his favorite, but he loved watching all football. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, usually on his front porch. Always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Beryl Will be greatly missed.

In Lieu of services, Beryl’s Family will be holding a Celebration of life at a later date.
