Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Carol Annette Butts, age 60

Our hearts were broken by the sudden passing of Carol Annette Butts on Sunday, December 18, 2022.  Carol passed away at her home in Cabot, AR.  She was born on January 15, 1962 to Charles and Betty Earnhart in Conway, AR.  She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Butts III, daughter and son-in-law Brittney and Scotty Mahoney and her beloved granddaughter, Annabelle.

Carol was a member of Levy church of Christ and attended services there her entire life.  She retired from the North Little Rock School District after having taught first and second grade at Lynch Drive Elementary.

Carol had a love of animals her entire life.  Her small family along with her in-laws raced chuckwagons for a several years.  As Brittney got a little older, she began barrel racing and Carol was with her every step of the way.  Following her retirement, Carol and Lawrence traveled the country on motorcycles eventually giving up the bikes for a motorhome.  They traveled with several motor coach groups across the country.  Carol was outgoing and made friends wherever she was.  Her heart was generous and giving.  She spent several years volunteering her time for a number of causes.

The greatest blessings in her life were her daughter, Brittney, and granddaughter, Annabelle.  Carol and Brittney were so close and shared a great love for all kinds of animals.  She referred to Annabelle as her Sunshine and the bond between these two was so special.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Earnhart and grandparents TP and Amanda Earnhart of Holland and Ervin and Della Henderson of Conway.  Carol is also survived by her father, Charles Earnhart of Mayflower; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kay Earnhart of McKinney, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Mary Earnhart of Mayflower;  sister, Christy Earnhart of Mayflower; father and mother in law, Larry and Carolyn Butts of Cabot; two step-daughters, Jennifer Roberson and Melissa Powell of Bossier City, LA;  step-grandchildren Briar, Melayna, Dane, Nash, Austin, Malori, Emery and Mabree; step great-grandchildren Baylor and Harper and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The outpouring of love and prayers has been so appreciated.  The impact of her life is so far reaching and the evidence of how much she was loved has been so obvious these last few days.  There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Carol on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Levy church of Christ, 5124 Camp Robinson Road, North Little Rock, AR 72218.  There will be a visitation from 1:30-2:30 with the service to follow.

Carol was so special to me because she worked with me at Six-State Rallies for FMCA and made it more fun to volunteer and you could always depend on her. She loved her family, especially Annabelle.
