Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Ella M. Ennis, age 63

Ella M. Ennis, 63, of Crystal Springs peacefully passed and was called home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, December 30, 2022. She was born January 9, 1959 in Hot Springs to the late Artie “Sug” Smith and James “Hiram” Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother James Franklin Smith.

She was a retired caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her family having cookouts, taking road trips with her daughter, and fishing numerous hours on the banks of Lake Ouachita. She will be remembered by many as “the strongest woman they knew.”

Ella is survived by her daughter Tonya Frank (Mike) of Pearcy; brother Bill Smith (B.A.); sister-in-law Patsy Weston Smith; numerous loving nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. She will be missed by her beloved pups, Mac and Jenny.

She was forever grateful for her brother, Bill, and sister-in-law, B.A., for their continued support. Special thanks to her niece Renee Barentine for numerous hours spent with her.

The family will be gathering to share memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry, and to remember a wonderful person who will be greatly missed. We hope you can join us this spring for a celebration of life, date to be determined.

Oh the many hours she & I sat across the table from each other working at Cordell Tackle just talking & laughing all day long. We went to Litte Rock shopping one day in my Volkswagen. She laughed & laughed at the sound of the little motor windng up like a little rubber band. I think she was in awe that we could actually pass a few cars. I loved keeping you Tonya when you were a little girl. Such a sweet time in all our lives. Love you ~ Donna Weston Plyler
