Merritt Alexander Johnston Jr, age 76, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2023. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 6, 1946 to the late Merritt Alexander Johnston Sr and Clara Belle Stewart Johnston.
Merritt loved time with his sons and grandchildren fishing at Lake Conway or with his wife traveling the backroads of Arkansas catching sunsets.
Merritt leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years Rosalie Johnston; three sons Stewart (Cheyenne) Johnston, Michael (Lisa Harmon) Johnston, and Stephen (Beth) Johnston; grandchildren Jacob, Tori, Kian, and Caleb Johnston; brother-in-law James (Gina) Campbell; and lifelong best friend Jerry (Kaye) Bell.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Details to be announced later.
