James Allen Neal Sr. passed from this life on February 12, 2023. He was born March 30, 1940 in DeWitt Arkansas to William Meredith & Ora Brown Neal.
He was an ordained minister who pastored churches in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Michigan. He was also a mechanic by trade. He loved to fish and loved to be with his family. He had a loving and kind nature with all he met. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
James was proceeded in death by his parents, wife of 61 years Bonnie Neal, and brother Robert Neal.
He is survived by his children: Michele Grant (of Spokane, Washington), James Neal Jr. (of Little Rock), Susan Neal (of Little Rock), and Andy and wife Laurie Neal (of Jonesboro). Two granddaughters who became adopted daughters: Katie Neal and Jaime Neal. Four grandsons: Paul Grant, Timothy Grant, Drew Grant, Owen Neal; and one other granddaughter: Presleigh Neal.

Just heard about Bro. Neal’s passing yesterday, and was so surprised. I know he is rejoicing, yet it is a bittersweet time for you, family. Jim, Katie and Jaime, I’m very sorry for your loss and heartbreak. Bro. Neal was a good good man, and Pilgrim Rest MBC hasn’t forgotten him, nor you. Much love, my friends.
Although we didn’t know him we know that he was such a Godly man who lived a meaningful life and raised a Godly man to follow Jesus.
