Mary Catherine Smith, age 84

Mary Catherine Smith, age 84, died peacefully on February 6, 2023 at Hospice Home Care on Bowman Road.

She was surrounded throughout her illness and death by the love and care of her family, sons Joey Plummer (Lisa), Patrick Plummer, brother Kenneth Kline (Linda).  She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Tensie Kline, daughter Catherine Strong, husbands William Plummer and Don Smith. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mary was retired from the Little Rock School District where she assisted teachers with children who had special needs.  She was a faithful member of Oak Park Baptist Church and involved in all the church activities for many years.  Mary had a special love for music and throughout her life she sang soprano in school, church, and community events.  She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness, love of family and friends, and her faithful life in Christ.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 4, at Oak Park Baptist Church at 10 am.  A private family memorial will be held at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Little Rock at a later date.
