Barry Lane Stevens SR, age 67

Barry Lane Stevens Sr, age 67 of Ward, AR passed away at home on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born in Pauling, Ohio on July 5, 1955, to Mamie Marie and Ralph Frederick Stevens.

Barry was a disabled veteran of the Armed Forces.  He was a member of the Beebe VFW post 7769 and the American Legion of Beebe, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents: father, Ralph Stevens, and mother, Mamie Marie Stevens, his first wife: Patricia “Patti” Stevens, four brothers: Ralph “Rusty” Stevens, Robin Stevens, Richard “Ricky” Stevens, and DeeWayne Stevens and one son William Helvering.

Barry leaves behind his wife, Carol Stevens of McRae, AR, 5 daughters: Tonya (James)  Stevens-McDaniel of Oklahoma, Dawn Stevens of McRae, AR, Nancy (Michael) Brown of El Paso, AR, Karen (Gary) Griffin of Missouri, Melissa (John) Osterem of Iowa, 2 sons: Barry Stevens Jr. of Hot Springs, AR, and Andrew (Emily) Stevens of Hot Springs, AR, one brother, Ronald Stevens of Hot Springs, AR and his older sister, Myrna Deaver of Hot Springs, AR as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday March 13,2023 at 9:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 am in the chapel of A Natural State Funeral Service located at 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. The burial service will follow at 12:00 pm at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery located at 1501 West Maryland Ave in North Little Rock, Arkansas 72120.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the funeral home to help the family with the unexpected expenses of this loss.

    We are definitely going to miss visiting with him and hearing all his stories. And showing each other our coin collections. He was and always will be a great friend. Our love and prayers go out to the family.
