John Webster Batton, age 43, of Searcy, Arkansas died Friday, February 24, 2023. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 6, 1979 and grew up in Jacksonville. In recent years, he had moved to Searcy.
John was well known as a kind and caring individual who was a people person. His sense of humor and easy going manner sustained many close friendships throughout his life.
John is survived by his parents Jane and Robert Batton of Searcy, his sister, Leslie Batton Gleason of Park City Utah and her children Grant and Gage Gleason. He is also survived by aunts, an uncle and many cousins.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 3pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the burn unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock or the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72210.

My memories of John are when he was a youngster at the cabins at Godfrey landing. John was a kind and gentle young man and always full of laughter. He would always join in at whatever was happening and was fun and funny. I am sorry for your loss.
I am very blessed to have been able to have known John. He will be greatly missed and I don’t believe he knew how many people loved him. From your pranks, shitty grin, to calling the Hogs I can’t imagine not seeing again. I pray for his mom, dad, and sister and all that knew him.
