Mary L. (Sue) Fowlkes of Carlisle passed to her heavenly home on Sunday March 12, 2023. She was born on June 3, 1939, to Henry and Mary Reynolds in Naylor, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; daughter Hazel Wise; sons Melvin C. (Bodie) Wise, Carl D. (Doug) Wise, stepson Ricky Fowlkes and one great grandson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Jimmy Fowlkes of Carlisle; children, Charles Wise of England, Steve (Sherry) Wise of Jacksonville, Calvin Wise of Carlisle, Ruby Williams of Carlisle, and stepdaughter Melissa (Billy) Earles of Austin; 2 daughters in law; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends and family.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family; Rex Jenkins and Will Reed; grandson in law George Parkinson; great grandsons Jonathon and Rian Lewis and son Steve Wise.
She was a mighty strong little woman who got a lot of that strength from raising those Wise boys. She was a woman of many words who always told you what was on her mind. She loved to fish but most of all she loved spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed.
Mary’s visitation will be Monday March 20, 2023 at 1:00pm with a funeral Service to follow at 2:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service; 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Interment will be at Mulberry cemetery in England, Arkansas.

Going miss you dearly Sue we sure had some good times together going miss your phone calls wasn’t a day went by you didn’t call and we talk about everything and everyone.
