Mrs. Edivia Gabriel,(née Soto) age 68, of Sherwood, AR, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Woodland Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation after a 13 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born in Lorain, OH, and moved to Arkansas in the mid 90s. Edivia was a long-time employee of Southwest Airlines before moving on to work with the Arkansas Catholic Diocese. Edivia was a devout Catholic as well, working to spread His word and works through her community. Always sewing, crocheting and knitting, Edivia loved to sew and create timeless blankets, clothes and gifts for loved ones and friends alike. She had an infectious laugh and smile and brought joy to people around her. She loved cooking and dancing and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years William Gabriel, sons, Damian Gabriel (Fiancé Lynsi) of Cabot, AR and William Gabriel Jr (Ji Young) of Dallas, Tx and daughter, Gloria Gabriel of Jacksonville, AR,; siblings,Ricardo (Terri), Efrain(Kim),Rolando, Edwin(Nerieda) sisters Alicia, Dianilda,,Sylvia(Frank) and Lilian (Felipe) 9 grandchildren (Brittany, Kaylei, Ayanna, Maya, Isabella, Xavier, Isiah, William, Yeona) and one great grandchild Reina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Isabel Soto, sisters Ana Irizzary, Nelida Salva (Nelly), Iris Gonzalez, Sonia Soto and brother Domingo Soto Jr.
Edivia was loved by many and will forever be missed. Heaven received another Spanish Angel.

William and family. I’m so sorry for your loss. It was always fun to see Edivia at our Kimberly-Clark events as she always brought some fun and laughter to them. It was easy to tell that she loved life. I know she will be missed by many. May Peace and Christ be with you always.
