Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Vanessa Bynum, age 42

Vanessa Bynum earned her wings and went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2023. Vanessa was born July 2, 1980 to Charles and Darlene Bynum in Searcy, Arkansas. She passed away in Jacksonville, Arkansas at the young age of 42.

Vanessa was a daughter, sister, and loving friend to many, but above all else she was a mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and built her life around her three children and one beloved grandchild. She had many hobbies, but some of her favorites were reading books, yard-selling and spending time with her family.

Her greatest possession was her compassionate heart, and although she never had a lot, she would always give to those who were in need even if it was only a kind word or a helping hand. Vanessa also had a love for animals and she spent much of her spare time caring for strays. She had a beautiful heart and soul that impacted many lives. Vanessa is gone from this earth, but she will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her most.

She is preceded in death by her long-term partner, Billy Campbell. Vanessa is survived by her three children Felicity Stivers, Aaron Stivers, and Joseph Campbell, as well as her one beloved grandchild Allie Beth Cowart all of Jacksonville. She is also survived by her parents Darlene Guthrie of Bradford and Charles Bynum of Little Rock and her four siblings Vicki Bynum of Bald Knob, Jessica Armer of Salem, Rebekah Guthrie, and Damon Brown both of Bradford. Vanessa also had many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and a grandmother.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 9:00-10:00am in the Chapel of A Natural State Funeral Service; 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. A graveside service will follow at 10:30am at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Some of my best memories growing up was with Vanessa and Vicki on the weekends. When we would get together we would laugh until we cried! I moved away, and we grew apart but Vanessa always remained in my heart. Sending my love, thoughts and prayers to y’all.
