Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Cathy Jacobs Lee, age 68

Cathy Jacobs Lee, age 68, formerly from El Dorado, Arkansas, now resides in Cabot, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at home with her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Cathy loved to read, summers at the lake, but her favorite thing was spending time with her family. Cathy married her first love Bruce Lee and had 2 children, Kari and Jennifer. Their home growing up was Parkers Chapel where she worked for First Financial Bank and Sewell Oil Company. After retirement, Bruce and Cathy moved to Cabot, Arkansas to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. Cathy began working in the after-school program for Cabot Gymnastics Academy and loved working with the kids. She made several life-long friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and love for her family. Her and Bruce celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past February surrounded by friends and family. Cathy loved Bruce unconditionally, and they were always inseparable even until the very end. She will be missed but is now with our Lord without pain or suffering.

Cathy is survived by her sister Barbara Bishop; her brother Dennis Hinton; her husband Bruce Lee; two daughters Kari Lee Walden and Jennifer Lee; six grandchildren Lane, Kasey, Nyssa, Skylar, Lily, and Saxon; three great-grandchildren Kenzie, Kynlee, and Kade. She was preceded in death by her parents Art and Jeanne Hinton and her sister Beverly Leonard.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00pm with a funeral service starting at 2:00pm at Christ Worship Center; 105 West Myrtle Street, Cabot, Arkansas. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas.

I loved working with Cathy at CGA so much! I knew it was going to be a good day whenever I saw her walk through the door. Her smiling face and always cracking jokes will be greatly missed! I hope she’s relaxing by the lake and eating all the chicken wings and drinking all the DR Pepper she wants! ❤️
