Michael Frederick Lister, age 69, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away on March 31, 2022. He was born on May 17, 1953, in Watsonville, California, to the late Nicholas and Yvonne Lister.
Michael was a very energetic person. He grew up in Watsonville, California, which helped shape his love for the outdoors, especially the ocean. He enjoyed spending his time doing anything outside including mountain biking and swimming. One of Michaels proudest moments was carrying the Olympic Torch for the Winter Olympics in 2005.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Yvonne Lister, and siblings Joey, Denise, Susie, and Claudia.
Michael leaves behind his wife Connie Lister; children Danny Lister (Heather), Darin Langston (Liesel), and Chrystal; grandchildren Zoey, Zephyr, and Dylan; siblings Nicky, Dan (Suzy), and Mary (Rolf); and his mother-in-law Barbara Gentry.

I’m blessed to have known Mike. Met him first as my boss some 25+ years ago at work and I must say that Mike was the best boss I have ever had or will have…not only did Mike and I become friends, I was welcomed into Mike’s family and became friends with Mike’s son Danny as well. I can’t help but recall all the BBQ’s at Mike’s house and video games with Danny…all the fun times we had back then. Then Mike married Connie and people have distance put in there life, I got married and had kids but Mike and Connie moved back and we picked right up like old friends, Mike and his family, me and my family. Years later we all got out of California and still got together again for a long visit. Having known Mike for so long and his soulmate Connie and seeing the way my kids miss Mike…I fell so sorry for the tremendous loss the I know Connie and Danny are feeling right now. I miss you very much my friend, God bless you.

I met Mike Lister and his wife, Connie, and his Mother in Law, Barb at Darin and Liesel’s wedding reception and we had such a great time. And Mike and I chatted for only a few hours and he made an impression on me. He’s clearly one of the good guys and he’ll be missed.
