Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Nancy O’Barr, age 67

Nancy O’Barr started her life here on Earth on September 28, 1955. She was born to Claude and Dorothy O’Barr in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nancy was the baby of 6 kids. She graduated from Oak Grove High School.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family with everything that was inside of her. Growing up, she was full of life. She was the fun, cool Aunt to her many nieces and nephews and many cousins. Everyone loved to be around her. She even taught her older sisters how to drive a stick shift Volkswagen Bug at the age of 14. She was full of life. She was tall and skinny and covered in freckles.

In her late 20’s, she met the love of her life Steven Edwards at the age of 29. She had her only son, Steven Carl Edwards, then preceded to have 2 daughters, Natalie and Sabrina Edwards. She spent her children’s younger years working and providing for them.

In 2005, she had her first grandchild, Danielle Casey. From that day forward, she dedicated her life and love to her grandchildren. All six of them.

Nancy grew up in church as her and her family grew up in their childhood home across the street from Graves Memorial Baptist Church in Oak Grove.  She continued to raise her children up in that church as well.

Her life will forever be cherished. In the last 10 years, her health had been failing. Nancy is no longer in pain. Before passing, she was able to experience lots of healing that took place in her children’s lives. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

We will be celebrating her life on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Graves Memorial Baptist Church at 12:00pm with a memorial following at 2:00pm at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.

Send flowers to Graves Memorial Baptist Church.

Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400.
